Welcome to RNCDC
Regional Neighborhood Community Development Corporation serves as a church developer for the Gulf coast region representing hundreds of churches and is the developer of the New Orleans Music Hall of Fame, a $700 million economic development project in the Central Business District (CBD).
Regional Neighborhood Community Development Corporation (RNCDC) is a community “empowerment” corporation with the vision of enhancing the critical needs of the local communities and the southern region, making them more interconnected, attractive, safer and economically healthy. For far too long New Orleans has not reached its full economic potential partly due to crime, abandoned housing and disenfranchised community economics.
RNCDC reinforces the needs of local communities to enhance the overall economic profile of the City of New Orleans through rehabilitation of blighted housing, development of new subdivisions and construction and rehabilitation of churches of various denominations. In addition to enhancing the safety and unification of the community, RNCDC also provides economic growth encouragement for small and minority businesses in the State of Louisiana construction arena.
The Church's Economic Vision For Empowering
The practical and realistic response to the overwhelming demands of our urban communities, which often requires the full armor of the faith to survive, often falls under the extended responsibilities of the Church. As a community staple, the Church must evaluate the true issues and unify the communities and inhabitants.
We strive to produce that unified approach through a strategic partnership with New Bethel Community Development Center and other faith-based organizations in the local communities. Schools, retirement homes, drug clinics, employment services, well-baby clinics, credit unions, affordable housing are all related interests of the church ministering to the whole person and the whole community. With RNCDC, New Bethel Community Development Center and the faith-based approach, our overall mission is reached in ministering to the whole person and the whole community.
Elder Joseph Roberts, Sr., CEO of Regional Neighborhood Community Development Corporation (RNCDC), a 15 year old New Orleans-Based Community Development Corporation, has been District Superintendent and Pastor of New Bethel Church of God in Christ located at Ground Zero in the upper 9th ward in the City of New Orleans for the last 18 years. Elder Roberts also serves as the developer for the Church of God in Christ in the New Orleans area.
